Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average surged 29 points to 14,988.00 and S&P 500 index futures rose 4.70 points to 1,612.70. Nasdaq 100 futures gained 5.75 points to 2,944.25. A Peek Into Global Markets European markets were higher today. The STOXX Europe 600 Index rose 0.22%, London's FTSE 100 index gained 0.06%, French CAC 40 Index gained 0.47% and German DAX 30 index rose 0.20%.Asian markets ended lower, with Japan's Nikkei Stock Average falling 0.85% and Australia's S&P/ASX 200 index dropping 1.11%. Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index fell 1.05% and India's Sensex dropped 0.26%.Broker RecommendationAnalysts at Deutsche Bank upgraded Tenet Healthcare (NYSE: THC) from “hold” to “buy.” The target price for Tenet Healthcare has been raised from $40 to $55.
