US Stock Futures Signal Lower Start On Wall Street

US stock futures are lower this morning. Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average tumbled 47 points to 15,326.00 and S&P 500 index futures fell 6.10 points to 1,648.50. Nasdaq 100 futures dropped 8.25 points to 2,995.25.US stocks closed higher on Tuesday, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average gaining 0.69% to 15,409.39, the S&P 500 index rising 0.63% to 1,660.06 and the Nasdaq 100 index surging 0.86% to 3,488.89. The MBA purchase applications index will be released at 7:00 a.m. ET. The ICSC-Goldman store sales index will be released at 7:45 a.m. ET, while the Johnson Redbook Retail Sales Index will be released at 8:55 a.m. ET.Wet Seal (NASDAQ: WTSL) posted a profit in the first quarter and issued an upbeat outlook for the second quarter. Guidewire Software (NASDAQ: GWRE) reported better-than-expected third-quarter results. Brown Shoe Co (NYSE: BWS) is projected to report its Q1 earnings at $0.22 per share on revenue of $609.05 million. Chico's FAS (NYSE: CHS) is estimated to report its Q1 earnings at $0.36 per share on revenue of $707.75 million. Daktronics (NASDAQ: DAKT) is projected to report its Q4 earnings at $0.07 per share on revenue of $123.00 million.The Fresh Market (NASDAQ: TFM) is estimated to report its Q1 earnings at $0.44 per share on revenue of $369.69 million. DSW (NYSE: DSW) is expected to report its Q1 earnings at $0.90 per share on revenue of $588.81 million.
