US Stock Futures Flat, Gold Tumbles

US stock futures are mostly flat this morning. Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped 2 points to 15,313.00 and S&P 500 index futures fell 0.20 points to 1,662.80. Nasdaq 100 futures declined 2 points to 3,020.75.US stocks closed higher on Friday, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average rising 0.80% to 15,354.40, the S&P 500 index gaining 1.03% to 1,667.47 and the Nasdaq 100 index surging 0.97% to 3,498.97. The Chicago Fed National Activity Index for April will be released at 8:30 a.m. ET.Accenture plc (NYSE: ACN) announced its plans to buy Acquity Group (NYSE: AQ) for $13 per share. Campbell Soup Company (NYSE: CPB) is projected to report its Q3 earnings at $0.56 per share on revenue of $2.04 billion. JA Solar Holdings Co (NASDAQ: JASO) is expected to post a Q1 loss at $1.03 per share on revenue of $226.50 million.Raven Industries (NASDAQ: RAVN) is projected to report its Q1 earnings at $0.44 per share on revenue of $112.64 million. Urban Outfitters (NASDAQ: URBN) is expected to post its Q1 earnings at $0.29 per share on revenue of $655.08 million. hhgregg (NYSE: HGG) is estimated to post its Q4 earnings at $0.30 per share on revenue of $622.57 million.European markets were higher today. The STOXX Europe 600 Index rose 0.04%, London's FTSE 100 index gained 0.56%, French CAC 40 Index gained 0.24% and German DAX 30 index rose 0.53%.Asian markets ended mostly higher, with Japan's Nikkei Stock Average jumping 1.47%, China's Shanghai Composite surging 0.75% and Australia's S&P/ASX 200 index gaining 0.50%. Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index rose 1.78% and India's Sensex dropped 0.31%. Gold futures dropped $16.70 to trade at $1,348.00 an ounce on Monday.
