In response to the escalating spread of the virus nationwide, the Biden administration declared that it would recommence offering free at-home COVID tests to American households starting next Monday. Abbott recently agreed to acquire Bigfoot Biomedical. However, financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Price Action: Abbott Laboratories shares gained 2.7% to close at $98.12 on Thursday.
