Tesla CEO Elon Musk and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan shared an awkward small talk when the latter asked about Musk’s ‘wife,’ Business Insider reported

Musk who was accompanied by his son X, replied to Erdoğan’s question stating, “Oh, she’s in San Francisco. We’re separated, I take care of him mostly.”

Musk has three children with pop singer Grimes, despite their “semi-separated” status since September 2021. Musk is known for his belief in maintaining a healthy world population through procreation, now being a father to 10 children with three different women.

The discussion between Musk and Erdoğan took place at Turkish House, near the United Nations building in New York, while Erdoğan was in town for the 78th General Assembly of the United Nations.

In addition to personal matters, the two also discussed the possibility of making Starlink available in Turkey and Erdoğan’s interest in having a Tesla factory built in the country.
