US Stock Futures Signal Lower Start On Wall Street

US stock futures are lower this morning. Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped 19 points to 14,294.00 and S&P 500 index futures fell 2.50 points to 1,542.00. Nasdaq 100 futures declined 6.25 points to 2,792.50.US stocks closed higher on Friday, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average gaining 0.47% to 14,397.07, the S&P 500 index rising 0.45% to 1,551.18 and the Nasdaq 100 index surging 0.38% to 3,244.37. Dick's Sporting Goods (NYSE: DKS) is projected to report its Q4 earnings at $1.06 per share on revenue of $1.86 billion. Casey's General Stores (NASDAQ: CASY) is expected to post its Q4 earnings at $0.47 per share on revenue of $1.71 billion.Scientific Games (NASDAQ: SGMS) is projected to post its Q4 earnings at $0.05 per share on revenue of $237.15 million. Canadian Solar (NASDAQ: CSIQ) is estimated to post a Q4 loss at $0.95 per share on revenue of $318.53 million. Stewart Enterprises (NASDAQ: STEI) is expected to post its Q1 earnings at $0.13 per share on revenue of $129.94 million.Urban Outfitters (NASDAQ: URBN) is expected to post its Q4 earnings at 0.57 per share on revenue of $848.24 million. Chiquita Brands International (NYSE: CQB) is projected to post a Q4 loss at $0.34 per share on revenue of $708.95 million. The STOXX Europe 600 Index declined 0.40%, London's FTSE 100 Index gained 0.02%, French CAC 40 Index fell 0.52% and German DAX 30 index dropped 0.35%.Asian markets ended mostly lower, with Japan's Nikkei Stock Average gaining 0.53%, China's Shanghai Composite falling 0.35% and Australia's S&P/ASX 200 gaining 0.72%. Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index declined 1.13 points and India's Sensex dropped 0.19%.Chinese consumer inflation rose to 3.2% y/y in February, versus 2% in January.The ICE dollar index (DXY) gained 0.05% to trade at 82.76.Gold futures rose $0.20 to trade at $1,577.10 an ounce on Monday.
