Snap Inc. (NYSE:SNAP) shares are trading lower Wednesday after the company's MyAI chatbot experienced an outage and had posted stories for some users.

What To Know: SNAP's nearly 4% slide Wednesday is only part of the stock's recent woes. The stock was up nearly 50% from the beginning of the year in mid-July. However, third-quarter earnings results on July 25 sent the stock lower.

Towards the end of July, it seemed as though the stock was rebounding from the earnings miss, but recently, SNAP has turned lower.

SNAP remains up 3.01% year-to-date.
