Mike Pence, former vice president and 2024 Republican presidential contender, stated he doesn’t recall being informed about potential additional electors before Jan. 6, TheWrap reports.

NBC "Meet the Press" host Chuck Todd questioned Pence about any prior knowledge of efforts to use unofficial electors to challenge the 2020 presidential election results.

Pence responded, "I don't recall that, I just remember hearing it in the public."

In Pence's book, "So Help Me God," he mentioned a conversation with the Senate's parliamentarian on Jan. 3 about alternate electors. Pence wrote that he was informed there were no alternate electors from disputed states.

Emphasizing his commitment to the Constitution and country laws, Pence said he wanted to ensure proper conduct on Jan. 6th. He also highlighted his support for fellow Republicans and their objections.
