Musk vs. Zuckerberg Fight: Epic Cage Match To Be Set In 'Ancient' Italian Venue And Streamed Live On X And Meta

The highly anticipated Elon Musk vs. Mark Zuckerberg fight is all set to take place at an "epic location" in Italy, with everything in the camera frame set in "ancient Rome", the Tesla Inc. (NASDAQ:TSLA) co-founder and X owner confirmed on Friday.

What Happened: Musk divulged more details about his proposed fight with Meta Platforms Inc. (NASDAQ:META) co-founder Zuckerberg, revealing that it will take place in Italy with an ancient Rome setting.

"I spoke to the PM of Italy and the Minister of Culture. They have agreed on an epic location," Musk said.

Earlier, UFC President Dana White had earlier claimed that he spoke to the Minister of Culture in Italy about holding the fight in the Roman Colosseum, pegging the revenue from the fight around $1 billion.

However, while Musk confirmed the backdrop of the fight, he stopped short of confirming the Colosseum as the venue. "Everything in [the] camera frame will be ancient Rome, so nothing modern at all," he said.

The fight will be livestreamed on both X and Meta, he added, stating that it will be managed by his and Zuckerberg's foundations instead of UFC. All the proceeds from the fight will go to veterans.

This comes just a few days after Musk appeared to backdown, agreeing that a "cage match debate" is a good idea.

Entrepreneur Chris Anderson, who is also the head of TED, proposed that instead of a physical fight, Musk and Zuckerberg should engage in a cage match debate. The debate would be about "How to Build an Amazing Future", and Musk thinks it is a "noble sport".

Musk vs. Zuck Fight A Few Months Away? Musk also said that he would require minor surgery and recovery from it could take a "few months".

"There is a problem with my right shoulder blade rubbing against my ribs, which requires minor surgery. Recovery will only take a few months," he said.

On the other hand, Zuckerberg has not relented and is raring to go. While both the billionaires have kept expectations on the boil, it remains to be seen if Musk's recovery results in the interest fizzling out or not.
