The startup's app is a significant step forward for those receiving cannabis-based medication, considering Ireland is warming up to cannabis use (93% of respondents in a 2019 poll favor the availability of medicinal cannabis).
Patients who are currently accessing cannabis under the Medical Cannabis Access Programme can use OleoCare to document their symptoms and dosages, as well as any side effects resulting from their medication. Doctors can then access this information to monitor their patient's progress in real-time.
Finland Bans HHC, Sweden to Follow
Finnish authorities have banned the sale and possession of hexahydrocannabinol (HHC), a psychoactive compound derived from hemp.
The Finnish Medicines Agency classified HHC as a banned substance on the consumer market due to concerns over its unknown effects when burned or vaporized.
Sweden is reportedly following suit. The move comes as HHC products are increasingly being marketed as a legal replacement to THC in edibles and vapes. Regulators warns that anyone caught in possession of drugs, including hash, runs the risk of being arrested.

The change may boost the number of licensed patients if implemented, according to industry sources.

Advocates are set to hold a cannabis march in Taipei, calling for the decriminalization of cannabis and the amendment of laws to allow for THC. The group claims that conservative religious groups have smeared fake news.
Despite this, a series of entertainment and music performances are scheduled on Ketagalan Boulevard in Taipei, with a large crowd expected to march to the legislature at 4:20 p.m.
