  • Coca-Cola Co (NYSE:KO) and PepsiCo Inc (NASDAQ:PEP) are facing Federal Trade Commission’s investigation on pricing practices.
  • The probe is for violation of law prohibiting advantageous pricing, the Wall Street Journal reported.
  • The law, known as the Robinson-Patman Act, prohibits manufacturers from charging different prices to competing resellers of their products if the practice threatens to hurt competition.
  • Under Chair Lina Khan, the FTC has ramped up execution in antitrust matters. Khan said enforcement has been easy-going for decades.
  • Price Action: KO shares are trading higher by 0.24% at $62.28, and PEP is up 0.15% at $178.12 in premarket on the last check Wednesday.
