US stock futures are slightly higher this morning, as investors are awaiting earnings reports from several major companies. Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average surged 4 points to 13,363.00 and S&P 500 index futures rose 0.50 points to 1,436.00. Nasdaq 100 futures gained 3.25 points to 2,734.50.US stocks closed higher on Monday, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average rising 0.72% to 13,424.23, the S&P 500 index gaining 0.81% to 1,440.13 and the Nasdaq 100 index surging 0.66% to 3,064.18. Data on consumer prices for September will be released at 8:30 a.m. ET, while industrial output for September will be released at 9:15 a.m. ET. The NAHB housing market index will be released at 10 a.m. ET.The Goldman Sachs Group (NYSE: GS) is estimated to report its Q3 EPS at $2.12 on revenue of $7.30 billion. Mattel (NASDAQ: MAT) is estimated to report its Q3 earnings at $0.99 per share on revenue of $2.07 billion. The Coca-Cola Company (NYSE: KO) is expected to report its Q3 EPS at $0.50 on revenue of $12.39 billion. Domino's Pizza (NYSE: DPZ) is estimated to report its Q3 EPS at $0.41 on revenue of $374.60 million. Intel (NASDAQ: INTC) is projected to post its Q3 earnings at $0.50 per share on revenue of $13.23 billion. State Street (NYSE: STT) is expected to report its Q3 EPS at $0.96 on revenue of $2.37 billion.Johnson & Johnson (NYSE: JNJ) is projected to report its Q3 EPS at $1.21 on revenue of $16.95 billion. International Business Machines (NYSE: IBM) is expected to post its Q3 EPS at $3.61 on revenue of $25.36 billion. W.W. Grainger (NYSE: GWW) is estimated to report its Q3 EPS at $2.89 on revenue of $2.32 billion.Bankrate (NYSE: RATE) issued downbeat forecast for the third quarter. WD-40 Co (NASDAQ: WDFC) reported weaker-than-expected fiscal fourth-quarter earnings. Microchip Technology (NASDAQ: MCHP) cut its sales view for the second quarter. European markets were higher today. The STOXX Europe 600 Index rose 0.34%, London's FTSE 100 Index gained 0.48%, French CAC 40 Index surges 0.38% and German DAX 30 index rose 0.49%.Asian markets ended mostly higher, with Japan's Nikkei Stock Average rising 1.44%, China's Shanghai Composite gaining 0.01% and Australia's S&P/ASX 200 rising 0.19%. Hong Kong's Hang Seng index rose 0.28% and India's Sensex dropped 0.78%.The euro gained 0.38% versus the US dollar to trade at $1.2999. Crude oil for November delivery dropped $0.31 to $91.54 a barrel. However, gold for December delivery surged $4.30 to trade at $1,741.90 an ounce.
