US Stock Futures Signal Lower Start On Wall Street

US stock futures are lower this morning. Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average dipped 49 points to 12,744.00 and S&P 500 index futures fell 6.50 points to 1,332.60. Nasdaq 100 futures dropped 9.75 points to 2,513.25.US stocks closed higher on Friday, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average surging 1.23% to 12,862.23, the S&P 500 index gaining 1.46% to 1,344.90 and the Nasdaq 100 index surging 1.61% to 2,905.66. Yum! Brands Inc (NYSE: YUM) is estimated to post its Q4 EPS at $0.74 on revenue of $4.03 billion. CNA Financial Corporation (NYSE: CNA) is projected to post its Q4 EPS at $0.71 on revenue of $1.97 billion. Sysco Corp (NYSE: SYY) is projected to post its FQ2 earnings at $0.44 per share on sales of $10.07 billion. Humana Inc (NYSE: HUM) is expected to post its Q4 EPS at $1.21 on revenue of $9.24 billion. Unum Group (NYSE: UNM) is projected to post its Q4 EPS at $0.75 on revenue of $2.59 billion. Lazard Ltd (NYSE: LAZ) is projected to report its Q4 earnings at $0.38 per share on revenue of $456.5 million. Towers Watson & Co (NYSE: TW) is estimated to report its Q2 earnings at $1.20 per share on revenue of $845.81 million. Anadarko Petroleum Corporation (NYSE: APC) is expected to post its Q4 EPS at $0.61 on revenue of $3.31 billion. Owens & Minor Inc (NYSE: OMI) is estimated to post its Q4 EPS at $0.49 on revenue of $2.18 billion.Randgold Resources Ltd (NASDAQ: GOLD) reported a strong rise in its fourth-quarter net profit. European markets were lower today. The STOXX Europe 600 Index fell 0.53%, London's FTSE 100 Index moved down 0.35%, French CAC 40 index declined 1.01% and German DAX 30 index dropped 0.49%.Asian markets ended mostly higher, with Japan's Nikkei Stock Average rising 1.0767%, China's Shanghai Composite gaining 0.03% and Australia's S&P/ASX 200 moving up 1.03%. Hong Kong's Hang Seng index dropped 0.2266% and India's Sensex surged 0.58%.The euro fell 0.4% versus the dollar to trade at $1.3051.
