Wunderlich Securities provided color on Liberty Global (NASDAQ: LBTYA) in a research report published today. Wunderlich Securities has a Buy rating and $53 price target on Liberty Global.In the report, Wunderlich Securities states, "The Kartellamt has now approved Buy-rated Liberty Global's (LBTYA) acquisition of private equity owned Kabel Baden-Wuerttemberg (KBW) for Euro 3.16bn; with the delta to our estimated fair value off a DAX-linked valuation comprising three points of our price target. We had regarded the deal as in doubt until this week given heavy lobbying by Deutsche Telecom, but concessions on open air encryption of digital-free TV and the opening up of long-term housing authority contracts through 9.30.12 by both KBW and Unitymedia were sufficient to allay the FCO concerns. The deal affords LBYTA a presence at parity with Kabel Deutschland in Europe's largest economy and highest growth cable market. "Shares of Liberty Global were trading at $39.05 at the time of posting, up 2.71% from Wednesday's market close.
