Apple Lawsuit of the Day: HTC Sues the Mac Maker over Patent Infringement

What has Apple gotten itself into now? I knew it was a mistake when the Mac maker started to sue everybody. You can't do that. There will always be copycats. There will always be clones. And just because Company X tries to imitate Company Z does not mean you can head into court and walk away with a few billion dollars. Sony SNE learned this the hard way when it decided to stick its nose into LG's business. Sony foolishly sued Life's Good over patent infringement; the company retaliated and won a temporary import ban on the PlayStation 3 in Europe. The ban was eventually lifted, but not before causing a few headaches – and (potentially) costing a few sales. Now Reuters (via AppleInsider) is reporting that HTC has filed a suit against Apple, claiming infringement of three patents through the sale of Mac computers, iPads, iPods, and iPhones, among others.
