Benzinga Breaks Down BlackBerry Q1 Earnings

  • Sales $424M vs $470.9M est, down 13 percent from last quarter
  • Sees positive adjusted EBITDA for FY2017

This is the third earnings estimate beat in a row for BlackBerry Limited BBRY, while sales have not met expectations for the past two quarters now. It’s also the first earnings release since March 2015 that the company didn’t report a loss.

BlackBerry shares were up 0.74 percent in pre-market trading. The mean price target for BlackBerry is $7.75, according to Yahoo Finance, representing 15 percent upside from Wednesday’s closing price.
