Twitter Inc (NYSE: TWTR) spiked sharply Monday afternoon after yet another report of a possible buyout surfaced.

A report from Bloomberg said Walt Disney Co (NYSE: DIS) is working with a financial advisor to evaluate a possible bid for Twitter.

Twitter's stock, which has traded down most of the day, jumped nearly 5 percent within 10 minutes. Shares traded recently at $22.79.

Twitter speculation has been swirling for months and months. Talks of a possible acquisition from Inc (NYSE: CRM) or Alphabet Inc (NASDAQ: GOOG) saw the stock have its single best day ever last Friday.

Disney's recent purchase of MLB technology company BamTech, is the same technology Twitter is using for its Thursday Night Football streams, and could be a reason that sparked talks of a potential deal between Disney and Twitter.
