Boingo and Amazon Align to Deliver Fast, Free Wi-Fi to Amazon Underground Customers

to offer fast, free Wi-Fi to Android phone, as well as, tablet customers who download Boingo's Wi-Finder app from Amazon Underground. Boingo Wireless said that Amazon Underground provided thousands of premium apps, games and in-app items, which were completely free. The company indicated that customers were never asked to pay for downloads. It also never charged for in-app purchases. The companies indicated that the new service would start today and that the exclusive offer would provide the Underground customers with a six-month subscription to Boingo's blazing fast Wi-Fi to download apps at thousands of hotspots. That included airports, hotels, coffee shops and around town – absolutely free. The chief marketing officer of Boingo Wireless, Dawn Callahan, said, "This offer is perfectly timed for the summer travel season," He added that "Anyone with an Android device can access Amazon Underground for free apps, games, and content on the go – and now Boingo Wi-Fi makes all that data free." Amazon Appstore Director, Aaron Rubenson, said, "Customers tell us they love having access to apps, games and unlimited in-app items that are actually free – no strings attached. Amazon Underground is the best place to find quality apps and games like Office Suite Professional, Star Wars: KOTOR, Wreck-It Ralph and CityMaps2Go Pro without the cost, and we continue to add value for our customers through exclusive offers like six months of fast, free Wi-Fi from Boingo." While WIFI traded 0.22 percent higher, Amazon was higher by 1.24 percent on Wednesday.
