Red Hat And Dell OpenStack Cloud Helps Increase Infrastructure Flexibility Of C.A. Mobile

Red Hat Inc RHT disclosed its and Dell-powered OpenStack cloud solution has helped Japan-based C.A. Mobile to establish a flexible infrastructure to support its websites. The cloud solution has customization and auto-scaling features to pursue its OpenStack Platform, according to the company.

Red Hat said C.A. Mobile was able to boost its server delivery speed and reduce the original OS installation, as well as, server provision time to 10 minutes from half a day.

The American firm's GM for OpenStack, Radhesh Balakrishnan said, "We are pleased to continue our collaboration with C.A. Mobile to help them take advantage of OpenStack's scaling capabilities to meet their needs for a modern cloud infrastructure capable of meeting changing demands in real-time. We are thrilled that they turned to Red Hat and Dell as their trusted partners to help them achieve their production OpenStack goals. The results they have achieved are impressive, but also indicative of OpenStack's power."

Similarly, C.A. Mobile's Infrastructure Engineer, Katsuya Niwaki said, "The Dell Red Hat Cloud Solution, powered by Red Hat Enterprise Linux OpenStack Platform, significantly increased the delivery speed of our servers. As long as a master image is created, it can be copied to launch any number of instances."

Red Hat stock closed flat on Wednesday.
