California American Water Acquires Operating Assets of Dunnigan Water System

California American Water has entered into a purchase agreement to acquire the operating assets of Dunnigan Water Works and assume the responsibility for the provision of water and wastewater services within Dunnigan Water Works' service area in Yolo County. Dunnigan Water Works is an investor owned Class D Water Utility, regulated by the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC). The purchase of the systems will add approximately 253 new water and wastewater service connections to California American Water's customer base in the Sacramento area. California American Water currently supplies water service to almost 60,000 homes and businesses in areas of Sacramento and Placer Counties. See full press release
