Japan Exports Rise 10.1% In May

Japan's exports increased in May. The country's exports surged 10.1% y/y, according to the Finance Ministry. However, economists were expecting a 6.5% rise in exports. Imports climbed 10% y/y, missing expectations for a 10.8% rise. Japan's trade deficit for May came in at ¥993.9 billion ($10.4 billion), versus estimates of around ¥1.2 trillion.
