Cramer: Tesla Becoming 'Integrated Into Society'

On a recent "Squawk On The Street" segment on CNBC, Jim Cramer addressed Tesla Motors Inc TSLA, calling the company's recent success a "phenomenon."

"This is a phenomenon, and I find that the phenomenon seems to cross all bounds," Cramer began.

"Let's say you're going on Interstate 95. And you stop at a gas station. There they are! Your Tesla chargers."

"I mean, this is becoming integrated into society," Cramer commentated.

The Mass Appeal

"I know so many people, so many younger people— who either want to have Uber or Tesla. One or the other," Cramer said.

Regarding the company's allure, Tesla's Model 3, which was unveiled and available for reservation (pre-ordering) on March 31, numbers have come in at $10 billion within the first 36 hours of availability.

According to Reuters' most up-to-date figures, that figure comes in at over 253,000 vehicles thus far, while analysts' predictive checks have estimated that figure is likely to reach 300,000 by June.

Tesla is up roughly 9 percent over the past week and more than 5 percent on Monday.
