J.P. Morgan continues to rate Novell, Inc. (NASDAQ: NOVL) Overweight, citing that a change does not always makes a difference.

Novell announced that it would reorganize its corporate structure and consolidate it four operating segments into two. Moreover, Novell has adjusted the responsibilities of certain members of its senior staff. Jim Ebzery will lead the new Security, Management and Operating Platform business unit, while Colleen O’Keefe will assume the role of SVP and GM of the new Collaboration Solutions business unit.

The reorganization is expected to better align NOVL’s businesses with its recently announced strategic objective to focus on the Intelligent Workload Management market. However, analysts are unclear whether this realignment will make much of a difference in NOVL’s operational performance.

Novell, Inc. (NASDAQ: NOVL) closed at $4.08 in the previous trading session. The 52-week trading range for NOVL is $2.97 -$ 4.98. Till now during the current calendar year, NOVL has surged over 4%.
