Trip Chowdhry Thinks Apple Might Sign Content Agreement With Bollywood

Apple Inc. AAPL CEO Tim Cook's India visit seems to be having a positive impact on the company’s stock. Global Equities Research’s Trip Chowdhry said the company is very likely to sign content agreements with Bollywood, the Indian movie Industry.

Chowdhry pointed out that Bollywood was much bigger than Hollywood, and produced the largest number of movies in the world.

He added that Cook had met Bollywood actors, actresses and movie directors. The CEO met with leading Bollywood actors Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan, as well as leading music director AR Rehman and filmmaker Mukesh Bhatt.

On Wednesday, Apple announced the creation of a new facility in Bengaluru, India, to support local developers in developing apps for the iOS platform. Apple said that its development office will provide entrepreneurs and app creators with specialized support and "help them hone their skills."
