Twitter Inc (NYSE: TWTR) CEO Jack Dorsey received a torrent of responses Thursday when he asked users about the most important things they want improved in 2017.
Some were clever:

Some were ironic:

But most addressed pressing concerns with the social media platform.

Some users requested technical support, including tweet-editing capacities or methods of interacting with posts without appearing to endorse the content.
Many suggestions revolved around censorship of “Nazis” and others engaged in online harassment.
- I would like a reporting option called “this is defamation” that goes to an actual lawyer and gets shut down - @karengeier
Others requested the unquestioned ban of users with reported abuse, and one proposed a mass blocking option of identified trolls and anyone who follows, likes or retweets troll posts.
Other troll-magnets wanted an easier means to escape abuse by disengaging from public activity.
- I would like to be able to take an account private (if only temporarily) without losing verification - @emmaspan
Other suggestions included:
- channels aggregating certain topics or geographically-relevant news alerts;
- topic leaderboards ranking commenters by community influence and expertise rather than number of followers;
- a paid membership service for premium features, targeted advertisements, or the altogether removal of advertisements;
- a feed arrangement by prioritizing most popular tweets rather than chronological posts;
- a daily Top 100 feed;
- and community groups for members to join and participate in.
