Sprint Corp (NYSE: S) shares are trading higher by $0.11 (1.2 percent) at $8.33 in Thursday's session. The issue flirted with $9.00 last week, but came up just short putting in a pair of highs on December 7 ($8.98) and December 8 ($8.94).

After failing at the $9 level, it swooned to $8.04 on Tuesday, but has been in a trading range over the last four sessions.

The bottom of the range ($8.04) is flanked by a low on December 12 at $8.12. The top of the range is marked by Wednesday's high of $8.49. At the this time, the issue attempting to clear the top of the range as $8.47 stands as the current high as of 10:20 a.m. ET.
