The worst performing industries in the market today are:

  • Data Storage Devices: This industry slipped 4.4 percent by 1:45 pm. The worst stock within the industry was Violin Memory Inc (OTC: VMEM), which fell 6.3 percent. Violin Memory’s PEG ratio is -0.01.
  • Semiconductor - Specialized: This industry declined 3.1 percent by 1:45 pm with ReneSola Ltd. (ADR) (NYSE: SOL) moving down 4.2 percent. ReneSola shares have dropped 42.90 percent over the past 52 weeks, while the S&P 500 index has increased 9.70 percent in the same period.
  • Home Furnishing Stores: The industry dropped 2.4 percent by 1:45 pm. The worst performer in this industry was Restoration Hardware Holdings Inc (NYSE: RH), which declined 18.7 percent. Restoration Hardware reported better-than-expected earnings for its third quarter, but issued a weak outlook for the holiday quarter.
  • Aluminum: This industry fell 2.3 percent by 1:45 pm. Aluminum Corp. of China Limited (ADR) (NYSE: ACH) shares dropped 2.2 percent in today's trading.
