The worst performing industries in the market today are:

  • Sporting Goods Stores: This industry slipped 1.9 percent by 11:00 am. The worst stock within the industry was Hibbett Sports, Inc. (NASDAQ: HIBB), which fell 12.7 percent. Hibbett Sports reported weaker-than-expected earnings for its third quarter.
  • Electronics Stores: This industry declined 1.7 percent by 11:00 am with Best Buy Co Inc (NYSE: BBY) moving down 1.8 percent. UBS maintained a Neutral rating on Best Buy, while raising the price target from $38 to $47.
  • Toy & Hobby Stores: The industry dropped 1.6 percent by 11:00 am. The worst performer in this industry was Build-A-Bear Workshop, Inc (NYSE: BBW), which declined 1 percent. Build-A-Bear shares have climbed 14.81 percent over the past 52 weeks, while the S&P 500 index has gained 4.97 percent in the same period.
  • Movie Production, Theaters: This industry fell 1.5 percent by 11:00 am ET. Regal Entertainment Group (NYSE: RGC) shares dropped 3.6 percent in today's trading.
