The worst performing industries in the market today are:

  • Specialized Health Services: This industry slipped 3.1 percent by 11:00 am. The worst stock within the industry was DaVita HealthCare Partners Inc (NYSE: DVA), which fell 5 percent. DaVita shares have dropped 15.52 percent over the past 52 weeks, while the S&P 500 index has gained 5.16 percent in the same period.
  • Industrial Electrical Equipment: This industry declined 2.1 percent by 11:00 am with EnSync Inc (NYSE: ESNC) moving down 6.5 percent. EnSync shares have declined 26.31 percent over the past 52 weeks, while the S&P 500 index has gained 5.16 percent in the same period.
  • Cement: This industry fell 2 percent by 11:00 am ET. Cemex SAB de CV (ADR) (NYSE: CX) shares dropped 2.5 percent in today's trading. Cemex shares have climbed 15.28 percent over the past 52 weeks, while the S&P 500 index has gained 5.16 percent in the same period.
  • Nonmetallic Mineral Mining: The industry dropped 1.6 percent by 11:00 am. The worst performer in this industry was SunCoke Energy Inc (NYSE: SXC), which declined 3.7 percent.
