Netflix, Inc. (NASDAQ: NFLX) announced it struck a deal with Enseo to distribute its app on select devices in any country where its service is available. This signifies its intention of going deeper into the hospitality sector.

This isn't the first time the streaming video service provider struck a deal with the hospitality unit. More than a year ago, the company struck a deal with Marriott International Inc (NASDAQ: MAR) for guest room TV service.

The agreement struck with the hotels ensures that guests could access their Netflix account through the internet-linked guest room televisions in the hotels. Alternatively, a user could use the app of the streaming video service provider on the same network of the hotels.

A year ago, Marriot described the move as a follow up to the changing preferences of consumer and that it recognized the role played by Netflix in transforming the change.

Enseo also expresses a similar opinion. Its founder, chairman and CEO, Vanessa Ogle, said, "Enseo will ensure that the television itself behaves, the remote and on-screen menu are easy to navigate, and the network operates at the highest standards at each Enseo property, giving Netflix members the great streaming content and viewing experience they have come to expect. Our owners are thrilled as they have been demanding our solution for more of their properties."

At the end of the second quarter, Netflix had total memberships of 83.18 million with the addition of 1.68 million subscribers in the second quarter. Net additions slowed from 5.74 million in the first quarter.
