JetBlue Airways' June Load Factor Rises 0.9 Points To 86.2%

JetBlue Airways Corporation (NASDAQ: JBLU) revealed its preliminary traffic results for June. According to it, load factor witnessed 0.9 points growth on a YOY basis to reach 86.2 percent in June.

JetBlue said its traffic in June advanced 11.6 percent from June last year driven by a capacity increase of 10.5 percent. Its preliminary completion factor was 99.1 percent and its on-time performance was 74.4 percent.

The company's preliminary revenue per available seat mile for June fell approximately 4.5 percent year over year. While revenue passenger miles advanced 11.6 percent, its available seat miles increased 10.5 percent on a year-over-year basis.

For the year-to-date, JetBlue's load factor fell 0.3 points to 84.6 percent. Its RPM grew 12.1 percent while ASM advanced 12.6 percent.

Following the news, the stock advanced 3.05 percent on Wednesday.
