Corey Lewandowski, the campaign manager for Donald Trump who was fired earlier this week, is joining Time Warner Inc (NYSE: TWX)’s CNN as a political commentator. He will be exclusive to CNN, and won't be allowed to appear on other networks.

Ironically, Lewandowski doesn't seem a big fan of the press. A few months ago, the lobbyist was almost charged with battery after forcibly grabbing reporter Michelle Fields when leaving one of Trump’s press conferences. However, Florida prosecutors decided not to charge Lewandowski, leading Fields to drop the charges after a formal apology.

This wasn't his only collision with the press; as readers might imagine, being a part of Trump’s campaign made him a polarizing figure, to say the least.

To add more irony to the issue, Lewandowski was publicly ousted by CNN’s S.E. Cupp and Mary Katharine Ham following the Fields incident.

Despite being disliked at the 24/7 news channel, just a few hours after his dismissal, Lewandowski was sitting down with CNN’s Dana Bash, in a live interview that lasted almost half an hour.

However, if you’re hoping to get some juicy details from Trump's campaign, you should start forgetting about it. Lewandowski, like all other Trump employees, has signed a nondisclosure agreement.

It has been reported that Lewandowski will make his first appearance as a commentator on Monday’s “New Day.”
