U.S. markets closed in red on Wednesday, giving up the gains seen earlier in the day, as anxieties regarding the Brexit weighed on stocks. Energy companies also suffered on Wednesday, as U.S. crude inventories declined less than the Street expected.

Let’s take a look into some stocks that continued to move in the after-hours session.

Red Hat Inc (NYSE: RHT) fell more than 5 percent after the bell, driven by the announcement of the company’s first quarter results. While revenue of $567.9 million (up 18.1 percent year-over-year) beat the Street’s consensus by $5.14 million, EPS of $0.50 were in-line with expectations.

The company said it had agreed to acquire 3scale, a leading application programming interface (API) management technology provider. In addition, management said it would repurchase up to $1 billion of Red Hat’s common stock instead of the originally planned $500 million.

Bed Bath & Beyond Inc. (NASDAQ: BBBY) also tumbled about 5.4 percent in Wednesday’s after-hours session, on the back of a top and bottom line miss. First quarter EPS of $0.80 and revenue of $2.74 billion (flat year-over-year) missed estimates by $0.06 and $40 million, respectively.

Barnes & Noble, Inc. (NYSE: BKS) gained about 5.75 percent since the market closed, even though its fourth quarter results, weren't especially strong. The company reported a net loss of ($0.24) per share, in line with estimates, and revenue of $876.68 million, which not only fell 3.7 percent year-over-year, but also missed expectations by $12.51 million.
