After a five-year wait, fans won’t be able to curb their enthusiasm: HBO’s hit comedy Curb Your Enthusiasm is coming back soon, channel execs said on Tuesday.

For those unfamiliar with Curb Your Enthusiasm, this was a TV series created by Seinfeld’s co-creator Larry David that ran for eight seasons, until 2011. While Time Warner Inc (NYSE: TWX)’s HBO did not say when the ninth season of Curb would begin shooting or when it would air, the premium cable channel operator assured its longest-running scripted drama or comedy series is coming back with all-new episodes.Futhermore, the show received a total of seven nominations for the Emmy Awards for outstanding comedy series, and managed to win the Golden Globe for best comedy back in 2002.

In a statement, Larry David said, “In the immortal words of Julius Caesar, ‘I left, I did nothing, I returned.’”

Casey Bloys, HBO’s new president of programming, who took over about a month ago, added, “We’re thrilled that Larry has decided to do a new season of Curb and can’t wait to see what he has planned.”

Shares of Time Warner lost 0.51 percent on Tuesday trading.
