Regal Entertainment Group (NYSE: RGC) revealed Steve Bunnell would join it as Senior Vice President, Chief Content and Programming Officer. According to the company, Steve brings in a wealth of knowledge to the company having served most recently as Executive Vice President and General Sales Manager of Universal Theatrical Distribution.
Regal Entertainment said that before joining the company, Steve was the Executive Vice President of Global Content Programming for Cinemark Theatres. In his career, he held positions at The Weinstein Company, as well as Loews Theatres.

Steve would be based in the Woodland Hills office and maintaining an office in Knoxville's corporate headquarters. The company indicated that he would join the Company on June 14.
Shares of the company traded 5.79 percent down on Friday.
