Marchex, Inc. (NASDAQ: MCHX) revealed that it has appointed Ziad Ismail as its Chief Product Officer. He served as SVP of Product and Engineering within the company and will continue to lead the division and focus on establishing the most powerful set of enterprise analytic tools. According to the company, the tools would allow the global marketers and their agencies to understand the online-to-offline path deeply to acquire and maximize advertising returns.

The company indicated Ismail joined in 2011 and played a crucial role in shaping up its product tactics and helped to create a leading engineering organization. He was credited for accelerating innovation by delivering industry-first enterprise analytics products, which improve client ROI.

Marchex CEO Pete Christothoulou said, "I'm amazed by Ziad's passion for developing high-performing teams and breakthrough products that bring visibility and accountability to mobile media. He has incredible empathy for the challenges marketers face as they transition to mobile-centric customer acquisition initiatives. On Wednesday, the stock traded down by 0.47 percent.
