  • Nike Inc (NYSE: NKE), down 0.97 percent

The S&P 500 index rose 0.36 percent on Thursday trading.

Some of the top gainers index were:

  • Chesapeake Energy Corporation (NYSE: CHK), up 26.18 percent
  • Southwestern Energy Company (NYSE: SWN), up 18.2 percent

Some of the top decliners in the index were:

  • The Kroger Co (NYSE: KR), down 6.99 percent
  • Mallinckrodt PLC (NYSE: MNK), down 4.33 percent

The Nasdaq 100 index surged 0.06 percent on Thursday trading.
