The Deal:
Abbott (NYSE: ABT) and Alere Inc. (NYSE: ALR) announced Monday, an definitive agreement for Abbott to acquire Alere for $56 per share in cash, for a total expected equity value of $5.8 billion. The transaction has been approved by the boards of directors of Alere and Abbott, and is subject to the approval of Alere shareholders and regulatory approvals.Alere closed at $99.17 on Monday, up $0.02.Dominion Resources to Acquire Questar for $25/Share in CashThe Deal:
Dominion Resources, Inc. (NYSE: D) and Questar Corporation (NYSE: STR) announced Monday, an agreement under which Dominion has agreed to acquire Questar for $25 per share in cash, or about $4.4 billion. Dominion will assume Questar's outstanding debt.The deal is expected to close by the end of 2016.Questar closed at $24.99 on Monday, up 22.56%.Ku6 Media Announces Receipt of Proposal to Acquire Company for $1.08/ADSThe Offer:
Ku6 Media Co., Ltd. (NASDAQ: KUTV), announced that its Board has received a preliminary non-binding proposal letter dated February 1, 2016 from Shanda Interactive Entertainment Limited to acquire the Company in a "going private" transaction for $1.08 per ADS. The deal is expected to close in Q2 of 2016.Avalanche Biotechnologies closed at $5.22 on Monday, down 13%.Stryker to Acquire Sage Products from Madison Dearborn Partners for $2.775BThe Deal:
Stryker Corporation (NYSE: SYK) announced Monday, an agreement to acquire Sage Products from Madison Dearborn Partners for $2.775 billion in cash.The transaction is expected to close in Q2 of 2016.Stryker closed at $99.17 on Monday, up $0.02.CalAmp Acquiring LoJack at $6.45/Share in All-Cash DealThe Deal:
CalAmp (NASDAQ: CAMP) and LoJack Corporation (NASDAQ: LOJN) announced Monday, that CalAmp will acquire all of the outstanding shares of common stock of LoJack for $6.45 per share in cash, in a deal valued at approximately $134 million.The transaction is expected to close during CalAmp's FY 2017 Q1.Lojack closed at $5.36 on Monday, and traded at $6.34 after-hours.
