Greenlight's Poor Performance

In a recent letter sent to investors, Einhorn said that the funds that he manages lost 3.8 percent in the fourth quarter of 2015 – net of fees and expenses. For the full year, Greenlight reported a loss of 20.2 percent, versus the S&P 500’s 2.15 percent decline.

According to the epistle, two of the main drivers of the firm’s losses were its short positions at Netflix and Amazon.
