(NYSE: SLB) reported better-than-expected earnings for the third quarter, but the company's revenue missed analysts' estimates. Schlumberger shares fell 0.67 percent to $75.65 in the after-hours trading session.Analysts are expecting Honeywell International Inc. (NYSE: HON) to have earned $1.55 per share on revenue of $9.85 billion in the latest quarter. Honeywell shares rose 0.46 percent to $98.95 in after-hours trading.

Mattel, Inc. (NASDAQ: MAT) reported weaker-than-expected results for the third quarter on Thursday. Mattel shares dipped 2.35 percent to $22.00 in the after-hours trading session.Analysts expect Progressive Corp (NYSE: PGR) to report its quarterly earnings at $0.48 per share on revenue of $5.27 billion. Progressive shares climbed 0.86 percent to close at $31.83 yesterday.Yum! Brands, Inc. (NYSE: YUM) named activist investor Keith Meister to its board. The company also lowered its adjusted profit guidance for 2015. Yum Brands shares gained 1.75 percent to $70.50 in the after-hours trading session.Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. (NASDAQ: AMD) reported a wider-than-expected loss for the third quarter, but the company's revenue exceeded analysts' expectations. The company also announced a new joint venture with China's Nantong Fujitsu Microelectronics and a corporate restructuring plan aimed at reducing operating expenses. AMD shares slipped 0.51 percent to $1.96 in the after-hours trading session.
