CDK Global Inc. (NASDAQ: CDK) is allowing select private-equity firms to access the company's financial records, according to sources as reported by Bloomberg on Wednesday. The sources say CDK may review the offers as early as this week.Hellman & Friedman and Blackstone Group LP (NYSE: BX) are said to be among the firms being allowed to view the financial details, while Carlyle Group LP (NASDAQ: CG), Apax Partners, Advent International and TPG have been unsuccessful.CDK Global closed at $50.80 on Wednesday, a gain of $0.84. Solera Holdings Inc. (NYSE: SLH), is close to a deal to sell itself for around $53 per share, according to sources as reported by Bloomberg on Wednesday. Final bidders are said to include private equity firms Thoma Bravo and Vista Equity Partners.Solera declined comment on the rumor. The company had announced on August 20 it was exploring strategic alternatives.Solera closed at $43.89 Wednesday, up 3%.Flowers Foods to Acquire Alpine Valley Bread Company for $120M in Cash, StockThe Deal:
Flowers Foods, Inc. (NYSE: FLO) announced Wednesday, an agreement to acquire Alpine Valley Bread Company for $120 million in cash and stock. The deal is expected to be completed in Q4. Flowers Foods shares closed at $23.91 Wednesday, a gain of $0.03.XPO Logistics to Acquire Con-Way for $47.60/ShareThe Deal:
XPO Logistics, Inc. (NYSE: XPO) and Con-way Inc. (NYSE: CNW) announced Wednesday, that XPO Logistics will acquire Con-way, by way of a tender offer for $47.60 per share in cash, a total transaction value of $3 billion. The deal is expected to close in October 2015.Con-Way shares closed at $35.53 Wednesday and traded as high as $49.03 after-hours. XPO traded as high as $35.50 after-hours, closing the regular session at $35.50.
