Medical device company Uroplasty (NASDAQ: UPI) has jumped 14.74% to $5.06 during Wednesday's trading session after releasing its earnings results. The company reported a Q1 net loss of $929,000 or $0.06 per share compared to a loss of $1.37 million or $0.09 per share in the year ago period. Net sales were $3.04 million versus $2.83 million in the first quarter of 2009. Volume has been very heavy today with more than 680,000 shares trading hands compared to a daily average of around 79,000.
