Celanese Corporation (NYSE: CE) gained more than 7 percent in late trading Thursday to $62.43 after the technology and materials company posted quarterly results.

Mattel, Inc. (NASDAQ: MAT) surged nearly 7 percent in Thursday's after-hours session to $26.95 after the toy company beat first-quarter expectations.

Ingles Markets, Incorporated (NASDAQ: IMKTA) regained some of its earlier losses, trading up nearly 4 percent in the extended session to $49.29. The company, which operates a chain of supermarkets in the Southeast, had closed down more than 5 percent on no obvious catalyst.

Two micro-cap oil and gas companies, VAALCO Energy, Inc. (NYSE: EGY) and Petroquest Energy Inc (NYSE: PQ), each gained about 4 percent in the after-hours session after closing down with significant losses for the day.

PROS Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: PRO) cratered nearly 19 percent to $22.06 in late trading Thursday after the data analytics company published disappointing preliminary first-quarter results.

Cloud-based software provider ServiceNow Inc (NYSE: NOW) fell nearly 10 percent to $75 on disappointing first-quarter results issued after the bell.

Manitowoc Company Inc (NYSE: MTW) dipped nearly 5 percent in late trading to $20.75 after the company said revenue from its food service unit will be less than expected in the first quarter. The company agreed in February to separate its construction crane and food units.

Chimerix Inc (NASDAQ: CMRX) declined more than 3 percent to $38.28 in late trading. The drug development company closed up nearly 4 percent on no recent news. On Monday, it obtained a preliminary government contract for smallpox vaccines.

Strategic Hotels and Resorts Inc (NYSE: BEE) dropped more than 2 percent in the extended session to $11.90 a share on no apparent catalyst.

NQ Mobile Inc (NYSE: NQ) gave back some of its earlier gains, declining more than 2 percent in late trading to $4.18. The China mobile service company didn't issue news.
