Alcatel Lucent SA (ADR) (NYSE: ALU) shares fell 5.17 percent to $130.86 in pre-market trading following the announcement of acquisition by Nokia Corporation (ADR) (NYSE: NOK) in all-stock deal. Bernstein downgraded Alcatel-Lucent from Outperform to Market Perform.

Tesco Corporation (USA) (NASDAQ: TESO) shares declined 4.55 percent to $11.34 in pre-market trading after rising 0.08 percent on Tuesday. Monroe Capital Corp (NASDAQ: MRCC) slipped 4.26 percent to $14.60 in pre-market trading after the company announced a public offering of common shares.

Precision Castparts Corp. (NYSE: PCP) fell 3.51 percent to $208.40 in pre-market trading. Precision Castparts projected Q4 earnings of $2.90 to $2.95 per share, versus analysts' estimates of $3.21 per share. U.S. Bancorp (NYSE: USB) shares dropped 1.91 percent to $42.70 in pre-market. U.S. Bancorp reported in-line earnings for the first quarter, but the company's revenue missed analysts' estimates.
