On Thursday, World Wrestling Entertainment, Inc. (NYSE: WWE) announced it had appointed WWE Chief Brand Officer Stephanie McMahon, WWE Executive Vice President, Talent, Live Events & Creative Paul Levesque and Mashable's Chief Technology Officer Robyn Peterson to its Board of Directors.

"The appointments of Stephanie, Paul and Robyn to WWE's Board of Directors will be invaluable to the company as we continue to transform our business and look toward a new era of unprecedented growth," WWE CEO Vince McMahon said in a statement.

Stephanie McMahon

Stephanie McMahon is the daughter of Vince McMahon and has worked for WWE in many different roles since beginning her career as an Account Executive in 1998.

In addition to her role as a current on-screen talent, McMahon currently serves as the WWE's brand ambassador and is the primary spokesperson for WWE's corporate responsibilities initiative. In her 17 years working for WWE, McMahon has overseen numerous operating segments, including WWE's Creative, Talent Relations, Talent Brand Management, Live Events, Digital, Social and Mobile businesses.

Paul Levesque

Well known for his on-screen "Triple H" character, Levesque has more than 20 years of experience working for WWE in multiple roles. In recent years, Levesque has played a critical role in talent development, overseeing the launch of the WWE Performance Center.

In addition, Levesque oversees business operations for the 320 annual live WWE events worldwide and serves as both a director and producer of WWE's TV programming.

Robyn Peterson

Peterson has more than 15 years of experience in web, mobile, and video product development. In addition to leading the redesign of Mashable.com in 2012 that produced a doubling of mobile page views, Peterson has also served as head of product placement at News Corp's (NASDAQ: NWS) Next Issue Media.

Peterson also spent time as Vice President for Technology and Product at Comcast Corp's (NASDAQ: CMCSA) NBCUniversal.
