Following the regional HIMSS event, Jefferies & Company is recommending Allscripts Healthcare Solutions (NASDAQ: MDRX) and McKesson Corporation (NYSE: MCK).“On the physician side Allscripts (Buy) appeared to be the primary vendor used by attendees,” Jefferies & Company writes. “We consider McKesson (Buy) the winner [on the hospital vender side] because its clients are going to stick with the vendor even though they feel MCK will have to be pushed on upgrades.”Allscripts currently trades for $18.78; McKesson trades for $62.45.
