John Paulson became famous a few years ago for his bets against subprime mortgages and later, on gold. His fund, Paulson & Company recently disclosed an equity portfolio for the fourth quarter of 2014, worth roughly $19.36 billion, focused on healthcare stocks (42.6 percent of the total portfolio) and consumer discretionary stocks (24.8 percent).
The fund started three new positions, sold out of 15, reduced its holdings in another 29 and boosted positions in 13 of its pre-existing stakes.
