Disney (NYSE: DIS) just raised their annual dividend to $1.15 per share, which was a 33.7 percent increase from the prior dividend of 86 cents. The stock will now carry a dividend yield of 1.24 percent based on the closing price of 93.11. Robert Iger, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Disney stated: “We achieved record revenue, net income and earnings per share for the fourth year in a row, and we are delighted to be able to increase our shareholder dividend by 34 percent while continuing to invest for future growth.”This marks the fifth straight year that Disney has increased the dividend. The dividend is payable on January 8, 2015 to shareholders of record at the close of business on December 15, 2014.
