C.H. Robinson to Acquire Freightquote for $623M/b> The Deal:
C.H. Robinson Worldwide Inc. (NASDAQ: CHRW) announced Monday, that it has an agreement to acquire privately-held freight broker, Freightquote.com, Inc., for $365 million in cash. Closing is expected to occur in the Q1 of 2015.CH Robinson shares fell $1.23 Monday, to close at $72.51.SCypress Semiconductor, Spansion to Merge in $4B All-Stock TransactionThe Deal:
Cypress Semiconductor Corp. (NASDAQ: CY) and Spansion, Inc. (NASDSQ: CODE) announced Monday, an agreement to merge in an all-stock, tax-free transaction valued at approximately $4 billion. Under the terms of the agreement, Spansion shareholders will receive 2.457 Cypress shares for each Spansion share they own. The shareholders of each company will own approximately 50 percent of the post-merger company. The merger Cypress Semiconductor Board of Directors will consist of four Cypress directors and four Spansion directors, and will be headquartered in San Jose, California.Cypress Semiconductor and Spansion expect the deal to close in H1 of 2015.Cypress Semiconductor shares closed at $10.43 Monday, and traded at $11.25 after-hours. Spansion closed at $22.85 and traded at $26.00 after-hours.Report Expedia May be Looking to Acquire HomeawayThe Rumor:
Shares of HomeAway, Inc. (NASDAQ: AWAY) surged higher Monday, on a report from dealReporter that Expedia Inc. (NASDAQ: EXPE) may make an offer for the vacation rental marketplace. Last Week The Priceline Group Inc. (NASDAQ: PCLN) was rumored as a potential buyer.Spokespersons for Homeaway and Expedia were unavailable for comment.Homeaway shares rose $0.38 Monday, to close at $31.74.
