Shares of Cree, Inc. (NASDAQ: CREE) rose Wednesday, on renewed takeover chatter. Cree is a frequently rumored name with General Electric Company (NYSE: GE) and Koninklijke Philips N.V (NYSE: PHG) most often mentioned as potential suitors. The Home Depot, Inc. (NYSE: HD) was also mentioned on Wednesday as a possible buyer for the maker of LED lighting products.A spokesperson for Home Depot declined comment on the rumor, while representatives of Cree and Philips were not immediately available for comment.Cree closed Wednesday at $32.64, a gain of 1%.Renewed Unconfirmed Takeover Chatter in PandoraThe Rumor:

(NASDAQ: YHOO) was rumored to be interested in acquiring the streaming music service.A spokesperson for Pandora declined comment on the rumor.Pandora Media closed Wednesday at $18.18, a loss of 3.5%.LivePerson to Acquire Contact At Once! for $65M in Cash, Stock DealThe Deal:
LivePerson, Inc., (NASDAQ: LPSN) announced Wednesday, it will acquire software company, Contact At Once!, LLC, for an aggregate purchase price of $65 million, including approximately $43 million in cash and $22 million in common stock. Contact At Once! provides chat services to the automotive industry with a customer base of more than 13,000 dealerships, plus many auto manufacturers and major car search and advertising sites.LivePerson closed Wednesday at $13.45, and fell 3.5% after-hours.
